Twice a month, Count Gore De
Vol, Washington DC's legendary horror host, provides net surfers with a
horror hosted online movie at
www.countgore.com/dungeon . . .
.
. . and I provide a look at the world of horror, sci-fi, fantasy and
dinosaur kits in a column called "The Pit." Sometimes it is a
buildup I have done for CreatureScape, but more often than not, it is
a thematic trip around the garage kit world. After nearly three
years doing this, I have written well over fifty articles and I
thought it might be time to archive them on this page.
So . . . if you want to see this week's
article, you can follow the link on the picture to the right and head
to Count Gore's site. This week's article is called:
(Somewhat)
Famous Monsters of Filmland
Quick--can you
picture in your head the title creature from this week's film, The
Blancheville Monster? No . . . me neither. In fact, I am
not even sure there is one, but the word "Monster" sure does grab one's
attention.
Naturally, the word "monster"
finds its way into a lot of film titles, and as a result, there are plenty
of resin monster headliners.
Here's
a look at some
Monsters (with a capital M)!
Below I have listed a few of the more recent Pit articles, and with
luck, I will eventually be able to archive them all. Until then,
if something looks appealing on the list, don't hesitate to check it
out.
If you are hankering
for some cranial candy in the resin milieu, I offer you some cool and creepy
brain kits to keep you busy in your own mad lab. Read it
here.
Here Comes
the Bride!
This week's
movie, Lady Frankenstein, comes on the heels of the 156th anniversary of
the passing of Mary Shelley . . . the lady who brought us the original
Frankenstein. Seems like a natural (or supernatural perhaps) to take
a look at a few Bride of Frankenstein kits this week! Read it
here.
