By 2005, the CreatureScape website was
getting about 3,000 hits a week and we were publishing free articles there
as an enticement. It became a major responsibility in its own right
and was in many ways, more important than the "hard copy" because we
reached more people on the web.
In the meantime, CreatureScape was
expanding its cyber borders. In 2004, we began working with Count
Gore De Vol to bring you a bi-monthly kit article called "The Pit" at
www.countgore.com. This feature, which runs to this day, is
sometimes a build up article, sometimes an overview of available kits.
Count Gore gets about 100,000 hits a month, so it is a great tool to
introduce the hobby to lots of wandering souls looking for meaning in
life. (Well, okay . . . it is good PR for resin heads though!)
By 2007, CreatureScape was a hub for kit junkies as a
resource and archive with about 10,000 hits weekly, but the idea of
churning out 24 "issues" a year was becoming a burden and a bit
impractical. So, today, the website is essentially the world's
biggest hobby "blog" (I hate that stupid word, don't you?) . . . a
creation of one mad scientist and is updated when it is possible.
Justifying that time is a lot easier when
we have cash flow folks, so if you have a kit you want built but can't
find time,
check this out. We also are selling Geometric Designs kits at
the lowest prices on the web (I think, anyway). So,
buy yourself
a kit, give us a reason to keep going, and we will make all your
resin, vinyl creature dreams come true.
