Actually, they are from Colorado--Kit Kong's Model Mansion, that is.  A relatively new company, the Model Mansion has been producing some very original kits over the last couple of years and we are always proud to feature them here.

First up is this 2 piece Conehead skull kit.  It is over 12 inches tall and hollow cast in cold cast porcelain.  Sculpted by Paul Schiola at Ultratumba Studios it comes with separate lower jaw, and supporting base.  It weighs a hefty 4 pounds and sells for $74.99.  Makes you want to consume mass quantities of beer and chicken embryos, doesn't it?  Check out the website or email [email protected] for details.

NARFLE THE GARTHOK

When is the last time you had to narfle the garthok?  This is one of the most original kits we've seen in a while . . . the kind of thing that makes you think, "why has no one done that before?"  It is a 1/6 scale hunk of 11 pounds of powerful resin.  Chris Elizardo sculpted this kit, which is over a foot tall and very detailed. Click the picture to the right to see how impressive this really is, and again, check out the website or email [email protected] for details.

Stan (T-Rex)

From Jon Rader and Rader Studios, here is the world's favorite favorite dinosaur . . . with a twist.

As the name suggests, the source information for Stan is a specific animal . . . a nearly complete skeleton found in the badlands of South Dakota.  According to Rader, "Measurements were taken of each and every bone in his body, and the skin texture is based upon actual preserved bits of skin found associated with another T. rex specimen."  He is also augmented with a mane of feathers on the neck, allowing the kit to uniquely reflect the latest scientific conjecture.

This 1:20 scale Rex stretches 20 inches long and comes in 9 resin pieces.  Stan can be purchased through Paypal directly from Rader Studios by going to the website.  The price is $150  plus $20 S&H for this very original and well researched presentation of the Tyrant King.

Supersaurus

From the talented hands of Jon Rader comes a pair of recently releases dinosaur kits including the magnificent Supersaurus in 1:20 scale seen to the right.  (If you know your dino sizes and some basic math, go wipe yourself up . . .)  This kit is based on a specimen that the sculptor actually helped excavate, and represents the largest animal ever unearthed in Wyoming.  It is a whopping 5 feet long and comes in 8 resin pieces.

The kit is sold in a very limited run of 25--after that, that is it!  It retails for $450 plus $25 for shipping.  They take Paypal, so check out the website for details.
